Today is 1st October 2013. A couple of friends via the twitter medium, @mammalewis and @xkatiepetersx, said they were partaking in #shredtober.
“What is this ‘Shredtober’?” I hear you ask. Well, let me tell you. Some lovely tweeters started the hashtag #shredtober a couple of weeks ago.
Seemingly, October is the month to raise awareness about everything. It’s #stoptober through the NHS to encourage people to quit smoking. It’s #gosober for October to raise money & awareness for the Macmillan charity by staying sober for the entire month of October. It’s also #WearPink for Breast Cancer awareness. Plus many more very worthy issues requesting people take the time to read up on their articles and donate their pennies to support their cause.
Anyway. Some lovely tweeters decided to group together this month and go the whole hog on the 30 Day Shred workout by Jillian Michaels. For some, the aim is to lose weight. For others, to get those size 10 jeans to fit. For me, it’s to improve my fitness, hopefully lose a little weight and tighten my core muscles & mummy tummy.
As a group using the hashtag trend, we will share ups and downs, aches and pains, and most importantly; provide motivation. We will be each others Mr Motivator, if you will.
And so, here I post a most embarrassing picture of myself. At 5ft 7in, all mummy at 11st 10.25lbs. Measurements are: Bust 39.8in, Waist 33.5in, Hips 39.8in and Left Thigh 22.8in.
Apologies for the really unflattering photos… but it’s gotta be done!
I won’t be changing anything we eat or drink as we’re pretty ok with the meals and snacks we eat. I want to see what the change in my exercise routine has without any other variables. Feel free to join us 🙂 and wish me luck!
