This week has been a busy week! It was O’s 5th birthday on Tuesday and with birthdays come games and toys with lots of instructions! I know it’s a tenuous link to the ‘Read’ category of this post, but I really have been so busy, I haven’t really had time to read!
I can’t let this week slide without mentioning the Olympics in Rio. We’ve been supporting Team GB in a variety of sports and O has really enjoyed watching them all. He’s been in awe of the swimmers, especially Adam Peaty who beat his own World Record. Fantastic.
I baked O’s birthday cake! I picked this design from the Craft and Crumb website to review (review to follow) and it was so yummy! I love the bright colours and we had so many compliments on my personal Facebook about the design. Those family members that were lucky (and quick) enough to get a piece commented on how tasty it was – it was a really great bake. Yum!
I bought this bright yellow wrap-style top from New Look to take on our holidays. Mainly because it’s something loose enough to breastfeed in, but nice enough to wear on an evening for dinner and drinks in the hotel. I really like it – and a bonus, it was down to £15 in the sale!
Sticking with the birthday theme… We heard voices singing the Happy Birthday song to O! I can’t believe he’s now 5 years old…
After a crazy Tuesday morning opening presents, O asked to go bowling for his birthday treat. He had such a good time, he didn’t want to leave! We’re getting ready for O’s official birthday party with his friends on Sunday before I can turn my attention to our holiday coming up in less than 2 weeks. Inside my head is a pretty manic place to be at the moment!
