I totally suck at this. I’ve read a tiny bit more of my book, but nothing much more. I’m on a mission to get a million things done in the next few days and just struggling for time to myself!
Yesterday, O and I watched a film called The Unbeatables on Netflix. O is obsessed with football! We’d had a busy day and he was upset that we weren’t going back to the park after we returned home for him to use the loo, so I compromised with some chill out time watching the television. It was quite good – I didn’t watch it all as I was making tea too, but O was glued to it. Not something that happens all that often, especially a film!
Yesterday, I made homemade pizza! Pizza is O’s favourite and I don’t mind it either so I thought we’d have some fun and make our own base and put our own toppings on. Of course, O couldn’t tear himself away from The Unbeatables to help me with making the pizza dough, so just came to help spread the sauce, sprinkle the cheese and add pepperoni. Even still, it was really yummy. Even Q wanted in on a pizza the action!
I wore a pair of new navy cotton shorts this week that I’m in total love with! I’ve always hated wearing shorts as I’m paranoid about my thighs and have quite long legs, so short shorts aren’t my cup of tea. But these ones are from the tall range in Next, so they are a decent length and come halfway down my thigh which is perfect. I haven’t got a photo to share – bad blogger!
We’ve been watching the Olympics in the background whilst getting on with things this week. I’m extremely proud of all the athletes competing as part of Team GB and am amazed we managed to climb to second in the leaderboard!
We’re off on holiday shortly so I am literally running around like a headless chicken at the moment. I have a list as long as my arm and feel like I’m running out of time. But on Wednesday, my out of office will be put on and if it isn’t done, it isn’t done. Whatever it is will wait for my return to the land of busy. I have earned a week with my little family enjoying some peace and being waited on – yay to no dishes, no cooking or cleaning!
