Whoever dreamed up being able to order cakes to be delivered through the post needs a medal. I’m a big fan of cake and when Caketoppers got in touch asking us to review a box of their personalised cupcakes – who was I to say no?!
The cupcakes can be ordered through the Caketoppers website, and you can choose between two delicious flavours; classic sponge, or chocolate. We were sent a mixed box so that we could try out both available flavours – and they are delicious. I preferred the chocolate cakes – rich, moist and really chocolatey, but the classic sponge cakes were yummy too.
I sent across a copy of my blog logo and two high quality images of the boys to be printed onto the cupcakes as the ‘personalised’ element. The logo design was printed really well and I was quite impressed with how it turned out. The photos of the boys were reasonably clear, considering the images were printed onto icing, although they were darkened slightly. I didn’t need to worry about the sizing of the images or what I wanted centred on the cupcake as it was done for me – and I’m really pleased with how they turned out.
The Caketoppers personalised cupcakes were delivered in a plastic tray, wrapped in plenty of bubble wrap and in a sturdy box, to prevent damage to the product. They really don’t look like they’ve travelled from the Caketoppers headquarters to your door through the mail! They’re a little bigger than I expected too which was a nice surprise!
Caketoppers are offering a 10% discount code for our readers – just enter ‘MEP10’ at the checkout to qualify!
