Eco-Friendly Cleaning with Seventh Generation – Review and Giveaway

With 25 years experience in creating safe and effective cleaning products, Seventh Generation offer a powerful plant-based clean.  Even the bottles are good for the environment as they are made from 100% recycled plastic!  The products are made with no dyes, and are just as effective as other cleaning products – just without all the chemical nasties!

I received a hamper full of Seventh Generation cleaning goodies to put to the test, and over the last few weeks I’ve been doing just that!  I must profess to my love of their lavender and mint washing up liquid – it smells lovely, and gives lots of bubbles.  The antibacterial cleaning spray is great and does just as good a job as my usual brand.  I have found that the products don’t smell ‘clean’ – but by ‘clean’, I suppose I’m referring to the chemically clean smell.  To be honest, the spray doesn’t really smell of anything!

The washing liquids for laundry, I’m yet to be convinced about.  Maybe I wasn’t using enough – or I was putting it in the drawer instead of the drum – I don’t know.  My laundry didn’t smell clean but wasn’t marked in any way, so maybe they were.  It’s possible that I’m so ingrained in using my sense of smell to judge the state of cleanliness, that these chemical-free products aren’t indulging me!

The best thing about the Seventh Generation products is that they’re kind to skin, so great for those with eczema or skin complaints, and they’re completely safe for pets and children.  Seventh Generation have become a household name in the US – so why not give them a go?

My wife does all the chores apart from the cooking which is left to me as I really enjoy it and it allows me to relax after a hard day at work and lets my creativity out.
