It’s been ages since I took part in the Me and Mine linky – namely due to suffering with a severe episode of Upper Limb Disorder. I’m pleased to say that I actually have a photo of our little family this month and am able to blog again!
This month has been a really exciting month. On 1st May, I launched the Eat Your Heart Out food blog alongside my two friends Donna and Sarah. There, we share our favourite recipes, our foodie finds and up-to-date trend collections. I love it and I would love for you to check it out and follow us on Twitter! O and Daddy (A) got to spend a weekend together Dad-and-Lad style whilst I received a birthday treat of a pampering at the Spa and an overnight stay in the city with my Sister-in-Law and Mother-in-Law. It was a really fab time and O had such fun visiting the local Home & Garden Show with his Daddy and Godmother. I felt totally revitalised after my pamper day, although I was utterly exhausted after a rough nights’ sleep.
I also saw the Take That Tour 2015 at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena, which was fabulous. the following weekend, which was the second bank holiday weekend, we had Donna from What the Redhead Said come to stay at our house with her little family. We had a great weekend playing board games and drinking wine whilst the kids were asleep at night, and walking around Whinlatter Forest and feeding the ducks at Derwent Water, Keswick on the most beautiful sunny day of May! And not forgetting our obligatory Afternoon Tea at Bryson’s of Keswick!
This month’s photo was taken during our trip to Whinlatter Forest to walk the Gruffalo Trail with Donna and her family. Unfortunately, O hates posing for photographs and it’s impossible to catch the three of us on camera unless we pose. I must invest in a tripod and remote! Anyway, O loved the Gruffalo’s purple prickles but the unhappy face is probably due to him being so tired after walking for so long uphill! This is Me and Mine – May 2015.
