Keep Calm and Colour In – Giveaway

It’s no secret that I’m a rather busy bee that likes to keep things moving and always have a project or three on the go.  With things going a bit pear-shaped at work leaving us short-staffed, it’s nothing but a miracle that I haven’t lost my cool!  So when I was asked to review a colouring book especially for adults, I thought it might help me to find my inner calm a bit more.

Colouring Book Giveaway

The Keep Calm and Colour In books are full of beautiful designs and pictures just waiting for a little artistic flair – or in my case, being able to stay within the lines!  I was a little skeptical at first though.  Would I find any use in colouring in a picture?  Can’t I just borrow one of O’s and colour in a Spiderman picture and find the same ‘zen’ feeling?  I can confirm,  my answer is No, I can’t.  They even come with a small selection of free colouring pencils to get you started.

  1. I like to read – a lot – mostly fantasy and paranormal fiction. I find an hour or so reading before bed helps me unwind and relax after too much screen time during the day :o)

  2. Kids in bed asleep, nice bath with candles, a good book & a large glass of white wine…….perfect!

  3. I love to make Kusudama flowers. This relaxes and destresses me like you wouldnt believe 🙂

  4. My husband and I meditate from time to time. I really struggle to fully relax as I am always thinking about something or other x

  5. A message to all. Do not underestimate the need to relax. A great method is an adult colouring book as you are so concentrating and enjoying the colouring that you forget any worries or stress that you have in life. My wife finds adult colouring VERY therapeutic and I hope to win for her. Me? I spend half hour every other night colouring in with my 4 year old in the bog standard colouring book – yes, therapeutic but mainly because the smile on my daughters face as I help her is priceless 🙂 I am in a high pressure job at a bank and I have to say, colouring is a time I forget about work – rare times 🙂 Good luck all and if you don’t win – buy a colouring book and pens, they are relatively cheap given the hours of enjoyment they give.

  6. I can honestly say it’s the adult colouring books they help me so much with anxiety thank you x

  7. Recently started to colour due to having an operation and I find it very calming and relaxing xx

  8. I love relaxing by reading a really good book, drawing, colouring and doing puzzles and jigsaws
