In preparation for baby arriving early next year, I’ve been looking into products which can help to make our lives easier. After all, it’s been a good 4 years since I had to plan anything for babies so it’s like starting from scratch! So when OXO Tot asked if I’d like to review a couple of products, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try out an innovative product or two…
The OXO Tot Dishwasher Basket is a great start to that collection. It is as it says on the tin – a basket for the dishwasher. Perfect for keeping hold of those detachable straws from drinking cups, bottle teats and medicine syringes whilst being washed in the dishwasher. The number of times I’ve lost syringe parts in the dishwasher… and I hate rummaging around in the bottom for them! Yuck!
The OXO Tot Dishwasher Basket fits into our standard sized dishwasher just fine; although I did almost lose a syringe-part in my first use… I would recommend putting the basket into the dishwasher first, before adding any bits to be washed to it. The holes in the sides, which obviously need to be there to let the dishwasher work its soapy magic, are a little on the big side for syringe parts and drinking straws!
Of course, I couldn’t leave O out and so he was sent the OXO Tot Twist Top Water Bottle in green. He’s been using this bottle at home for a couple of weeks now, and has gotten used to twisting the lid shut when he’s not using it. Although, we have figured that it doesn’t actually spill if you knock it over anyway (as long as the lid is on properly!)!
The water bottle holds 300ml, which is a great amount for O at meal times. I’m sure he drinks more when using a straw or bottle, as he barely touches his other drinking cups! This fab water bottle is available in three colours and, importantly for me, is dishwasher safe.
Disclosure: We were sent the products for the purposes of this review, however all words and opinions are our own.
