Game of Thrones, Pyjamas and Fat Lip – #LittleLoves

This week I bought the March/April copy of the Slimming World magazine.  Although I didn’t really put on any extra weight during pregnancy, I want to make sure I keep on top of things while I’m on maternity leave.  Reaching for a packet of biscuits whilst watching TV during nap time is just too easy!  I’ll be including at least one of these recipes in next weeks meal plan, probably Kung Pao Chicken…

Series 6 airs in only a couple of weeks, so I thought I’d best catch up with Series 5 of Game of Thrones!  I’m still reeling at some of the things that happened this series but I won’t throw any spoilers in here for those yet to watch.  I have so many unanswered questions spinning around my head!  I may have to build up a few weeks’ worth of episodes to watch in one sitting though – it’s not the easiest of dramas to keep track of as there are so many characters and plots.

A took O to the cinema this week to see Zootropolis which they said was really good!  I’m a little bit gutted I didn’t get to see it but I can’t really go to the cinerma at the moment as I’m breastfeeding Q.

Not a lot of making has been going on this week, although I did make a second batch of Easter Nest cakes with O, but forgot to take a photograph before we ate all 20 of them…

It’s the school holidays and I’ve just had a baby…  I’m not wearing anything particularly glamorous right now!  I’ve been pretty much living in leggings and long jumpers or dresses this week.  Apart from on Wednesday when Q and I enjoyed a day in our pyjamas.  And it was bliss.

I always remember the Scuzz music channel being full of thrash and heavy metal but, after a stint of watching it in the background earlier this week, it would appear it is no longer!   It did, however, play a song that reminded of my youth.  My days in Senior school where I discovered I really enjoyed listening to the music played on Kerrang, Scuzz and P-Rock (anyone else remember that one?!).  So, here we have it.  Sum 41 with Fat Lip.

and Lastly…

The Beacon Museum

I’ve had a really nice couple of weeks with our little family this Easter break, but I’m definitely ready to get back into a routine.  O is ready to get back to school too and see his friends.  We visited The Beacon museum in a nearby town again as their exhibition had changed to display costumes and props from Sci-Fi movies like Star Wars, Alien, Predator, etc.  It was a really good day out!  O has had a bit of a cold that he has kindly shared with Q and so both boys are feeling under the weather at the moment.  It will hopefully pass quickly!
