If you didn’t know, Father’s Day is coming up pretty soon – on the 19th June, in fact. If you’re now thinking, ‘OMG, I haven’t event thought about what I’m going to get for my Dad/Stepdad/Grandad/Husband/Whatever’, then this is the post to read. I have picked out a selection of pretty awesome and quirky products that I think would make great gifts for Father’s Day.
Let’s start with a sentimental one… Personalised Special Time Cufflinks, by Posh Totty Designs Creates, would be perfect for a new, first-time daddy. Add your child’s name, date of birth and the time they were born for a lovely reminder of that precious moment that they became a Daddy. A truly beautiful gift that wouldn’t go unappreciated, at a reasonable cost of £25 available at notonthehighstreet.com.
I’ve visited the Lakes Distillery for lunch and again for afternoon tea before, but haven’t actually taken a tour as yet… Maybe your other half or Dad would love to experience a distillery tour? If you think the Lakes is too far away, then why not order ‘The One’ Whisky – the first ever British Isles brewed Whisky. Or if they don’t drink Whisky, there’s Vodka and Gin available too and in handy gift sets!
I’m a little bit in love with these trendy photo blocks, rather than a traditional framed photograph or canvas. They’re perfect for sitting on a desk at work, or on the mantlepiece or shelf of a modern and contemporary home. They’re available in a variety of sizes and colours and manufactured by Photobox. I’m really impressed with the quality of them, they’ve got a bit of weight behind them too so they’re certainly not flimsy… They’re so easy to create; just upload your desired image to the website and voila! Hit order!
Socks are probably the last thing you think are a great gift – no-one likes boring socks, right? Well, what about non-boring socks? We reviewed the ChattyFeet socks a while back and hubs and O received matching Danny socks. They love them! They’re really soft, are a great fit and wash really well. ChattyFeet have some Father’s Day gift sets available over on their website – you can find them here.
Another idea (if you’re still struggling), is to consider whether or not your dad is a bit of a gamer. If he is then great because you could easily sort out a gaming type of present for him. For example, if he likes League of Legends, then you should buy league of legends account for him.
Last, but not least, if you’re Dad or Husband isn’t one for gifts, why not treat them to a fancy Ploughman’s platter complete with a bottle of real ale and Proper Pickles from The English Provender Co? Or if the weather is good, hold a barbecue and serve the pickles on the side with salad or as part of a tasty burger. A range of four Proper Pickles are available in selected Sainsbury’s and Asda stores at £1.50 each!
I hope this post has helped to inspire you and your Father’s Day gifts!
