This week has been pretty awesome! O has been off school this week as it’s half term and we’ve had some great fun! The sunshine has been good to us, mostly, and we’ve spent a lot of time outdoors which has been lovely. He was really ready for a week off school and it’s done him the world of good to recharge his batteries. I can’t believe he’s only got a few more weeks of school left before the summer as it doesn’t feel like yesterday that he was graduating from pre-school.
I actually can’t think of anything I’ve read this week… I haven’t even read any bedtime stories to O as hubs has done it each night whilst I’ve fed Q! Once O is back to school next week, I plan on catching up with reading my favourite blogs and might even start to read an actual book. There. Now I’ve written it here, I should keep to my word shouldn’t I…
We’ve spent so much time outside this week – most of my time has been spent watching O and his cousins playing! I’ve been catching up on Billions and Legends on the gogglebox. I’m really enjoying both of them and can’t get enough! I’m a little disappointed with this weeks episode of Game of Thrones but can’t help but feel like it’s setting us up to an awesome 3 episodes to end the series.
O and his cousins made some pizza to cook in my in-laws best home pizza oven… and it went down a storm! They loved rolling out the fresh pizza dough and covering the bases with a variety of toppings. They were really tasty too and we can’t wait to try some more!
I’ve been back in my skirts and sandals this week – woohoo! They’re so much more comfortable for my post-baby body than jeans… I’ve also ordered some clothes to try on for Q’s Baptism that is planned for 5 weeks time.
The sound of Q’s first giggles! Well, hubs got him to laugh but I’m clearly not funny as he won’t laugh for me… Gutted! Hoping to get there soon!
Today we’re going to the Lake District Wildlife Park as hubs is off work and it’s the last (sort of) day of the school holidays. We haven’t taken Q on a full day trip out yet so that will be an experience! But I’m sure we’ll enjoy it. Back to the daily grind for the last few weeks before the summer holidays. I’ve rather enjoyed the relaxed mornings, even if it’s been a bit of a challenge occupying O whilst trying to make sure Q gets enough sleep and feeds, etc.
Hope you all have a great week!
