As a family, we love to travel. We’ve saved hard to take O on holidays to Lanzarote, Turkey and Spain, as well as other areas of the UK. We’re away to Majorca very soon which will be Q’s first holiday! Both hubs and I feel that by exposing our children to the cultures in different countries, from food and animals, landscapes and climates, lifestyles and fashions, will help them to become well-rounded and have a great appreciation for the world. When Serena & Johnny from Travel Kids Club got in touch asking us to review one of their packs, I thought it would be a great opportunity to expand O’s knowledge of the world.
We received the very first pack to be sent out for the Travel Kids Club, this one focusing on the country of Cambodia. O was delighted to have a letter posted through the door by the postman that was addressed to him; one of the small everyday things to an adult brings such joy to a child… Inside the pack was a Travel Kids Club sticker, Cambodia stamp, a booklet and variety of activities all relating to the country of Cambodia.
He enjoyed colouring in the mouse and hot air balloon 3D art. When he decided to make the 3D animals, I helped him to cut them out and make the slits so that he could fold them into the animal shapes. I’m really impressed with how they turned out and O is very proud of them too.
Other activities included in the pack are a word search and crossword, with answers available on the website. O managed with the word search with a bit of help, but the crossword was a little old for him. I understand that these packs are aimed at children aged 6 years and over, so O is a tad on the young side. I imagine that older children would have no problems doing all the activities included within the pack.
Both hubs and I were really impressed with the quality of the pack and amount of activities and information included. O really enjoyed learning about the country of Cambodia and doing the various activities too.
We’ve teamed up with Travel Kids Club to offer a giveaway of a 3 month subscription to Travel Kids Club! The lucky winner will be chosen at random using Rafflecopter to win a subscription for up to 3 children in their household for a total of 3 months. Good luck!
