Me and Mine – September 2016

This last week has been literally dreadful.  I won’t bore you with the details, but it turns out I’ve been really poorly with shingles and didn’t seek help from the GP soon enough to nip it in the bud.  However, I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel, I’m feeling a bit better and I’ve broken out the laptop for the first time in a week!

This month has been a busy one…  So busy, we actually haven’t taken a Me and Mine photograph.  I know – how can I be taking part in this month’s linky!?  Well, I have my answer.  It’s a rubbish one, but I’m going with it and I’ll apologise now.  On the 31st August, we were on the last day of our holiday.  It was then that this photograph was taken.  I didn’t include it in my August ‘Me and Mine’ post as, well, we were on holiday!

This month we’ve been settling back into out routine of school, work and weekends.  Although we loved the summer holidays, and I loved seeing my boys playing together every day, we were all ready for life to go back to normal.  O is enjoying seeing his friends at school and has even signed up to an after school club playing football once a week.  He still continues to attend his football class on a Saturday at the local sports centre too, so I know he’s getting plenty of active time.  Q has settled back into his routine and has gotten back into the habit of fitting his naps into the school day.  We’re finding our groove and it works for us!

A couple of weeks ago, we went for our first family photo shoot with a local photographer, With Love Photography.  I would have shared a couple of those photographs, but we haven’t chosen our favourites yet – so you’ll have to wait to see those!  I aspire to be such a good photographer, and I know this one is pretty pants in comparison, but it’s the best I could do on our last evening on holiday before it got dark.
