Northern Lights, New Furniture and Nursing Style – #LittleLoves

I’ve started reading a book called ‘Northern Lights’ that my friend, K, has kindly loaned to me.  It’s not a new one, but was written back in the 90’s, and I hadn’t heard of either the author or the series of books.  It’s a bit ‘out-there’ in the fantasy world and I didn’t think it would be my cup of tea, to be honest, but I’m going to give it a go.  It is picking up it’s pace only on the second chapter so fingers crossed!

Northern Lights

I also picked up a book by Harlan Coben in the clearance section of the local WHSmiths store.  I’ve added it to my ‘To Read’ pile…

This week, it’s been all about Series 6 of The Walking Dead and Series 4 of House Of Lies.  I’ve mentioned both before and they’re both fantastic box sets to watch, in their own ways.  I can’t wait for Series 7 of TWD to start, but we’ll be away in Disneyland when it does so I’ll have to avoid spoilers on all social media on Monday 24th October!

At the weekend, we half put together a new TV cabinet for the living room that we picked up in Ikea.  We were missing the cupboard doors until Wednesday (which still need put on) but it’s so much better.  Now we’ve got some of the old furniture out of the living room and replaced it with the long cabinet, it’s given us a lot more space.

Bonprix review

Now that the weather has turned very autumnal and cold, I’m on a mission to get a staple wardrobe going for nursing through the winter.  This week, I’ve been wearing my Bonprix nursing dress with leggings and flats, as all my boots are broken and have been thrown away.  Desperate for some new autumn/winter clothes!  PS – it’s an old picture, I’m not pregnant again haha!

As I’m sat writing this post, I have Absolute Radio playing in the background.  This total tune is what is playing.

and Lastly…

It’s been a hard week, to be honest.  I’ve been on own with both boys a lot and their sleep has been pretty rubbish.  Just to put it into context, not only was I up feeding Q last night but he was wide awake at 4:30 and didn’t go back to sleep until his usual morning nap.  Eeesh.  However, I am looking forward to a spa day at Bannatyne’s with my mum, mother-in-law and sister-in-law this weekend.  A break is well overdue!
