Bloggers Disney Quiz featuring Mama Geek

As you may have noticed, we had almost a full fortnight of Bloggers Disney Quiz posts whilst I was away in Disneyland!  It has been a really popular series so I thought I’d make it a regular thing here on my blog.  Since we’ve returned from Disneyland, O is obsessed and asks to watch a Disney film every day at the moment!

Disney Quiz

Today we welcome Zoe from Mama Geek.

What’s your favourite Disney film?

Beauty and the Beast – I love all the characters, the music, and the storyline so much. I got the special edition years ago and watched the different versions they had on there, and hours of special features footage! The main lyricist, Howard Ashman, died before the film came out and it is dedicated to him with a beautiful dedication; “To our friend Howard, who gave a mermaid a voice and a beast his soul, we will be forever grateful.”

Who’s your favourite Disney character?

I honestly can’t choose. I love so many of them! I can’t even narrow it down to a list of favourites.

Who’s your favourite Disney villain?

It’s a toss up between The Little Mermaid’s Ursula – for her over dramatic evilness and slimy sidekicks – or the mastermind in Zootopia/Zootropolis (no spoilers here)

Who is your favourite Disney princess?

Probably Merida from Brave, because she is kick-ass.

Who is your favourite Disney prince?

To be honest, they are mostly a bit character-less. Does Flynn Rider in Tangled count as a prince? Because he makes me laugh.

What’s your favourite Pixar film?

This is a tough one to choose. I love Wall-e, Up and Inside Out the most but have trouble choosing between those three. Probably Wall-e. I think.

What’s your least favourite Pixar film?

I’m not keen on either of the Cars films – I find the characters irritating and I think it lacks the usual emotional depth that Pixar films have. They usually have so much heart in them.

Which Disney/Pixar film do you think is overrated?

I think The Incredibles is a bit overrated. Yes, it’s funny but I don’t think it’s quite as good as people can make it out to be sometimes.

Which Disney/Pixar film do you think is underrated?

I think Brave hasn’t had the credit it deserves. It’s funny, with a strong female lead and moves away from the stereotypical princess meets prince happy ever after ending.

What’s your kids favourite Disney film?

They love Frozen the best at the moment, but enjoy loads of them – The Little Mermaid and Cinderella are other favourites at the moment.

Who is their favourite character?

Georgie loves Elsa, and Lydia likes Anna – as sisters, they like dressing up as sisters! Lydia loves Belle and Cinderella as well though. She’s very into princesses at the moment.

What’s your favourite Disney film soundtrack?

It is so difficult to choose, but probably Beauty and the Beast. On my iPhone I have loads of Disney soundtracks though, plus the Now that’s what I call Disney album.

What’s your favourite song?

Beauty and the Beast – I love the Angela Lansbury version the best, but for the first dance at our wedding we danced to the Celina Dion version. A compromise with my husband!

If you could choose to be one of the characters, who would you be?

Probably Belle – I read as much as she does!

Which Disney animal would you like as a pet?

Abu, the monkey from Aladdin. He’s really funny and mischievous!

There has been Disney films released for so many years – which was released closest to the year you were born, and have you seen it/what do you think of it?

Apparently there was one called The Black Cauldron that came out the year I was born. I should really try to track it down and watch it because I’ve never seen it before.

What did Ariel do about fishing in Eric’s kingdom once she became human?

I hope she did something – at the very least sack that lobster obsessed chef!

Did Snow White ever eat an apple again?

I doubt it. There was a nod to this in one of the latest Once Upon A Time episodes – she gave an apple to someone else because she didn’t want to eat it herself.

Does Belle like Adam better as a beast or human?

I’d like to think that she doesn’t mind either way – but is happy that the other people trapped as objects are human!
