Here we are! Another week over, another week ahead and another meal plan to write! I’ve been feeling really stuck in a rut lately with the meals we’ve been eating. I dislike cooking separate meals for O and us and O has a long list of things he doesn’t like/refuses to try. This week, I’m attempting to cook meals each evening (apart from one!) where we can all eat the same meal, at the same time… Wish me luck!
Last week, we went out to a rather swish dinner on Thursday. Hubs and I got dressed up to the nines and I so enjoyed a night out for the first time in forever. We had gin and prosecco cocktails on arrival, a three course dinner and wine on the tables whilst I listened to speeches and awards – all that hubs had organised. We enjoyed pate to start, followed by braised beef with mustard mash and vegetables, finished off with a chocolate brownie with marshmallow ice cream. It was all really yummy! We’re off out on another dinner this week too so hoping to have a similarly great experience.
Yesterday, we made a rather special dinner. Rather than the traditional Sunday roast, we opted for oven-baked cod and homemade ratatouille-filled ravioli with garlic bread. It took all afternoon to make, but it went down a storm. Q had some of the ratatouille and O ate every last morsel. It was our version of a meal that O had eaten in the Chez Remy Bistro at Disneyland Paris, so we thought it would go down well. Thankfully, all that time cooking wasn’t for nothing!
This week, our meal plan goes something like this:
Monday – Pork Chops (O – Sausages) with mashed potatoes and vegetables
Tuesday – Vegetable Stir Fry
Wednesday – Slow Cooker chicken provencal (O – small pizza)
Thursday – Out
Friday – TBC

Ohh yesterdays dinner sounds lovely, fab that everyone ate some too. Have a great week x
That meal out sounds delicious, as does your homemade ravioli! I’ve never attempted to make that but may have to give it a go now.
It is so hard to please everyone isn’t it. I hope your meals go well. The slow cooked chicken sounds lovely xx #mealplanningmonday
The meal out sounds amazing! Love the sound of the slow cooked chicken too.
