Since Q was born, we’ve been on the lookout for games to play with O during nap times. Mainly so that it forces that good quality time for him to play with both of his parents at the weekend. Popular toy and games manufacturer, John Adams got in touch and suggested that we might like to try out the Splashy the Whale game. Hubs and I are game for pretty much anything so thought we’d give it a go!
Splashy the Whale is an electronic squirting, skill and action game for ages 4 years and over. A minimum of two players is required, but no maximum – so the fun can be enjoyed by all the family and any number of friends.
Splashy the Whale contains: the whale (pretty integral piece to the game), a fishing hook and a variety of debris. Batteries aren’t included, so make sure you’ve got 3 x AA batteries to hand as no child will happily wait for you to make that trip to the shops! You need a screwdriver to open up the battery compartment too.
Once you’ve got the batteries in, fill up the tank with water from the tap and pop the debris inside Splashy the Whale’s mouth, and you’re good to go! Now, I’ll let you into a secret… Face Splashy the Whale towards the grumpiest family member on the table before you make the switch. We had such a laugh as we switched the game on and Splashy the Whale sprayed a very surprised O with water!
We had such a giggle playing this game – definitely one we’ll get out over the Christmas period with friends. We managed to get three games out of the tank of water before needing to refill. Splashy the Whale was a great hit with O and his cousins came over to try it out and loved it too. Splashy does spray quite a bit of water so I’d recommend playing on a easy-clean floor rather than carpet… and to keep a towel or two handy!
