Recently, we were sent the new Dinosaur Top Trumps Quiz game from the National History Museum shop. Although it’s designed for children a couple of years older than O, I thought he’d really love it as he’s always loved learning about dinosaurs.
This pocket-sized family game is great to play at home or pop in a travel bag to take away on holiday. The case is double-sided with two slots filled with cards, making it easier for eager hands to pull cards from ready to play. With 100 different card categories, and 500 questions(!) compiled by the experts at the National History Museum itself, the Dinosaur Top Trumps Quiz will keep you quizzing for hours.
Players take turns by attempting to show off their knowledge of everything dinosaur. Each player has to answer as many questions as they can from the back of each card and the player with the most correct answers wins the round. There are a few different ways you could play the game though, as it doesn’t come with instructions. The game is designed for players aged 8 years and over, which I would say is a good guide. O is currently 5 years old and it’s a bit over his head and would be much more suited to a slightly older child.
If you’re looking for a stocking filler, or maybe a small but thoughtful gift for a family member of friend, this could be a great choice. I’m looking forward to playing it with O more as he grows!
Do your children like to play Top Trumps? How do you play the game?

Oh this looks fun! Definitely something I’d buy for my two when they’re a bit older and they can read and understand it.
