Blogging Goals for 2017

I’m a bit late to the party with this type of post, but I wanted to share my goals for this blog over the next 12 months.  Surprisingly, I’ve been blogging for over 3 years now – with this version of the blog being live for almost 2 years.  I can’t believe it’s been that long! One of my tasks this year was to update my very out-of-date ‘About’ page, which I’ve now done.  If you’re new to my blog, I’d love you to check it out so that you can get a bit of a back story without trawling through 3 years of posts…

Blogging Goals for 2017

This month, I’m returning to work part-time after 10 months of maternity leave.  However, I will continue to blog our family adventures and updates.  I’ve posted a lot during my maternity leave as I’ve had more time, but there will be a reduction in the frequency of posts now.  Instead, I am aiming to create quality content (without worrying about quantity) and promote my blog more – as without promotion, I might as well talk to myself in the corner!

I’m also aiming to collaborate with more local companies and brands to help to raise the profile of the fantastic people, services and products of Cumbria and the North of England.  I plan to create monthly round-up posts of family-friendly events happening in our county too.  I love the area we live in and I’m aiming to get out into the Lakes, exploring our countryside and National Park to share with you our beautiful surroundings.

I’ve set myself targets on increasing my following on social media, subscribers and page views, as well as a target increase of the blog’s Domain Authority (DA).  I won’t bore you with those numbers, but if you would like to help me out – make sure you’re following me on all the platforms!  Links are at the top of the page and it is greatly appreciated!

If you’re one of my readers, please leave me a comment to let me know what you would like to see more of this year!  If you’re a blogger, let me know in the comments what you aim to do with your blog this year?

  1. Those are nice aims, especially working with more local companies. I’ve enjoyed working with local companies recently, it’s great to help out the local area. I just aim to be a better blogger this year 🙂

  2. These are fab goals and really realistic. I hope the transition back to work goes smoothly. When you’re all settled back into the routine we’ll make some plans 🙂 x
