As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not the craftiest of bloggers – but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like to try! Â The guys at Chalkola got in touch asking if I’d like to review their chalk markers and I thought it would give O and I something a little bit different to think about…
The chalk markers are available in two different sizes; 6mm and 15mm. Â There are 21 markers in the 6mm pack and 8 chalk markers in the 15mm pack. Â Inside the 6mm pack, there were the standard colours with an additional 6 metallic coloured pens, including silver and gold.
I plan to use the markers on our platter plates and serving crockery for Q’s 1st birthday party next weekend, so we set to drawing some pretty pictures on one of the plates to see what it looked like and if it wiped off properly afterwards. Â O loved using the markers – although got a bit carried away with the black marker which spread everywhere when wiping it away – and used them to draw flowers in a garden with a ladybird flying over them. Â What a beautiful picture!
I also took to using the 6mm markers to write on and decorate the drawers in the playroom in the hope that it helps make tidying away toys that bit more straight-forward after play time… Â One can dream! Â The 6mm markers are easy to use, although do take a little effort to get the ink flowing at first. Â I attempted to use the 15mm markers but didn’t find these as easy to write with. Â A bit like attempting calligraphy with a paintbrush – something I’ve never done and didn’t find particularly easy.
I really enjoyed letting my creative side run-free – and it gave me an opportunity to sort through the drawers in the playroom ahead of my Lent challenge! Â See Lucy’s post for more on that here…
We’re also teaming up with Chalkola to offer our readers a 15% discount when this code is applied at the checkout –Â 15OFFSTR –
